"A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.” (Prov. 17:22) This is the powerful truth I was sharing with my congregation in my last message. Isn’t it amazing that joy from a merry heart has the effect of medicine on our bodies? When we have joy, the Word says that it brings healing to us!
Maybe you’re asking, “How can I experience real joy in my life?” The truth is, real joy isn’t dependent on what we see around us or what we might be going through. Real joy is experienced when we encounter the person of grace—our Lord Jesus—and when we allow ourselves to enjoy His loving presence in our lives. I share more of these truths and powerful keys on healing in my latest sermon, The Healing Power Of A Joyful Heart. You can watch an excerpt here: http://bit.ly/2urE88Q
If you’ve been holding on tightly to worries, mistakes, or past hurt, I want you to know that Jesus wants to replace your sorrow with his unshakable joy. The Bible says that you can cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you (see 1 Pet. 5:7). Will you take some time right now to talk to Him and release your burdens to Him? As you pour your heart out to Him, I believe you’ll receive His joy and experience healing in every area of your life!
